MOLTEN is a San Francisco based death/thrash quintet formed during the fall of 2017. A hydra of death metal, thrash metal, and doom with elements of prog, neoclassical, and hardcore forming "The Molten sound".
With the 2019 release of their first
six song EP, the band went straight to work on their 2021 (Redefining Darkness Records release) debut LP “Dystopian Syndrome” with engineer/producer Greg Wilkinson (High On Fire, Mortuous, Necrot) at Earhammer Studios in Oakland, CA.
Currently, the band has completed their second full length LP "Malicide" (unreleased) with production by Wilkinson, and artwork by Noah Cutter Meihoff, it is a darker, more aggressive, yet equally melodic and accessible sound for fans of extreme music with lyrical themes involving war, corruption, inner turmoil, fantasy, horror, and world destruction.
